FOWA Road Trip!
I’ll be hopping in the FOWA van and touring 11 cities across Europe, so come out and join me for a drink at the local bar. We thought it would be really fun to get everyone out from behind their laptops and out for a nice night on the town. It’ll be a fab opportunity to meet like-minded web app folks :)
We’re going to be throwing some money behind the bar, so please come out and say hi. The FOWA Road Trip site will be launching soon, but for now, you can see all the cities and dates at the holding page.

Sounds like a really fun idea.
I’ll hopefully be able to catch you in Edinburgh. With a little bit of luck I may even still be on holiday.

@ Shofr: why thank you! :) I’ve never actually read Cameron’s article, although people have been recommending it to me for a while now. Thanks for posting the link!

Cool idea… just too bad you are not “tripping” over here (ljubljana) or at least anywhere near… like Viena or something in Italy.

@Dave - Thanks. We’re already aware of this and for the Brighton leg we’re going to be buying lunch for everyone at BarCamp on Saturday. Should be fun.
@jankoM - Sorry we can’t make it over that direction. I could only squeeze in 11 cities :(
@Jamie - Come see us in Bristol :)

Man, I’d love to join ya.
Funny though, the day you come to Amsterdam on the 17th (where I am) is the day RailsConf Europe starts in Berlin (where I’ll be).
Then when you actually get to Berlin on the 20th is right after RailsConf ends and I’ll be flying back to Amsterdam!
In any case, I’m sure it will rock and be a blast.

Was in London last FOWA and also in SF last September. Hope to make it for the FOWA road trip (great idea!) in Dublin (although in Upcoming.org it says it belongs to Nothern Ireland :)

[…] I really wish the FOWA bus had stopped somewhere in between London & Edinburgh, there are events like the Sheffield Barcamp, the Leeds Barcamp & the OpenCoffee Leeds events, but they’re not really on the same scale, and don’t do the North justice in showing off our talent and creativity. […]

Hi Ryan
I attended the first of the FOWA Road Trip last night at Bristol. Great night.
Thanks!
