We’re for a better web.
So we’re about to launch the brand new FOWA Miami 2009 site and we thought is was about time we got our arses into gear when it came to making accessible and easy to use websites.
That’s why we’ve created the “For a Better Web” badge. Sporting the badge means we’ve done our best to make our sites as accessible and easy to use as possible.

We’re also teaming up with www.abilitynet.org.uk who are going to help us keep on top of producing accessible sites and projects in the future.
“For A Better Web” is going to be an ongoing and evolving project. We’ll keep learning and we’ll always do our best to make our sites easy to use for everyone.
We’ll be posting more about this in the coming months :)

It should be nice if theres a list of the things that youve done to achieve this, like your said it will grow but start taking things into consideration and not just throwing it cause it looks cool.

[…] We’ve really made a big effort to make this site accessible and easy to use with hand crafted semantic markup. We’re also sporting our new For a Better Web badge for the first time. This means we’ve done our best to make our sites as accessible and easy to use as possible. […]

Really great idea,
It’s a real shame that there’s a need to show support for accessibility rather than it just being the ’standard’ way to do things.
Oh well, maybe in the future…

Great initiative. Can’t wait to see where this will be going.
It sure looks hot on the FOWA content site too.
