Bravo on a great team-building idea. However, after all that energy of creating these wonderful items, I was disappointed that you simply gave them away. In hindsight, with such a response (249 pitches), it would have probably been more worthwhile to auction them off, and donate the money raised to some worthy cause. Kill two birds with one stone; build team spirit and creativity, while helping others. Perhaps next time.

Alas, it looks as if I lose out, seeing as I've been quoted already. Ah well, we'll maybe talk again when Carsonified registers http://hugmypc.com.

Hi Carsonified team,

I think all hugwanters are dying to know who actually got a hug!!! Maybe we can set up a marketplace for hugs?? There seems to be a lot of creativity in our macworld and you are once again frontrunners!!

Great job!

Reading the entries was hilarious! Thanks everyone, for taking time to craft your creative responses. Here are some more choice gems for you all to enjoy:

"In the cold recesses of my dark office, my MacBook Pro lays yearning for something more. When not forced into slave labor it is tossed aside like an old forgotten toy on Christmas Day. Its steely skin shivers from the cold, lonely nights while it sits on it's wooden perch looking across the expanse of paper hills and dust-bunny forests. Feeling used up and abused it waits for the next day to approach. Longing for a better existence. A chance to break free from its captor. Unable to move. But another day comes and its back to the grindstone. Being abused for another day. Always touching and poking, pushing and prodding, when all it really wants is a hug ..."

"Hugs are very important thing to change the world, and to change my world of a stressed out student with a busy life with no girlfriends, definately I need a hug (especially from a hot girl or hugmymac.com) to smile again."

"... It's the only Mac in our whole office and has to take lots of verbal abuse and finger-pointing from our Microsoft Fanboy developers, who like to stick up .net posters on our walls, and keep asking when 'Vista is going on that other partition'. Never, my friends. Never."

"As a newly married geek, adjusting to the unique companionship that comes from being wed is quite difficult, but not just for me. My computer feels alone, lost and yearns for the endless hours which I once spent staring at its beautiful pixels. It needs to rekindle some of that magic, have an affectionate medium to feel wanted again, and what better way than with a heartfelt hug?"

Snap, I misunderstood the question. I wrote why *I* deserved it :-)

Well, at least I'll be receiving my hicksmade pouch later this week...
